How did Swayamsadhya foundation start

While working with a vocational training program focused on children and education, we encountered women who were unable to work outside all day but wanted to do something of their own. They didn’t know exactly what that “something” was, how to do it, or how to start. These women desired financial independence. Each woman had different skills but struggled to find the path to success. A large group of women and youth wanted to learn new skills, leading to the establishment of the Swayamsadhya Foundation on November 11, 2017, in Mumbai. We connected with nearly 1,000 women facing similar challenges, all fighting for our identities. We identified those women who wanted to earn their own financial freedom and support their families.

Our Goal

Our goal is to increase women’s economic opportunities by supporting efforts to help them generate and control their own incomes. Women’s empowerment boosts their status through literacy, education, training, and awareness creation. Furthermore, women’s empowerment refers to their ability to make strategic life choices that were previously denied to them.
